Amplifying Amazing Kiwis Around The Globe

How do you make a story go global… or even better yet, viral? It’s a question we’re often asked, and the answer is simpler than you might think.

Going global, or viral, comes down to three things.

Are you doing something completely new, is out of the ordinary or a world-first?

Is it newsworthy - is it more than just a marketing stunt - does it stack up in the newsroom?

Do you have amazing creative to go with it?

Great stories are the ones you remember easily because they tick all three of those boxes.

And great stories don’t need any translation because those three elements resonate wherever you are in the world.

Working alongside our amazing clients, we’ve been able to create headlines all over the globe - from Australia to the US, UK, India and beyond.

One hundred international headlines... and counting!

AfterLife Pay is the latest offering from HELL where 666 pizza lovers in both NZ and Australia can apply to pay for their pizza from the grave.

A twist on the traditional buy now pay later (BNPL) schemes, HELL came up with AfterLife Pay in response to being approached by a traditional provider to offer BNPL to their customers - something that didn’t sit right with them.

We worked with the epic team at Yarn Agency to bring this campaign to life - where it initially dominated NZ headlines before taking off and making news in Japan, Canada, India, Italy, Spain, France and Australia and beyond.

This included a live interview on Sunrise - Australia’s no.1 Breakfast show -  and a feature from The Washington Post.

How good!

FTN Makes Headlines in Australia

FTN Motion has taken the ultimate symbol of freedom – the motorbike - and created the Streetdog, an electric motorcycle designed and custom-made in the heart of Wellington, New Zealand.

Designed to change how people commute while being kinder to the planet and reducing congestion, the second Streetdog release has sold out, and the business is on track to capture 5 per cent of New Zealand’s moped market within a year of the bikes hitting the streets.

Next, they’re looking to Australia as they scale to produce 700 Streetdogs per year for both sides of the Tasman by the end of 2024.

Our work with this forward-looking team has attracted attention from as far away as the UK and India - including this profile of co-founder Saskia Thornton in Driven Women.
